Bogota. October 2023. In a joint work with the aim of increasing the prosperity of the inhabitants of Bogota-Metropolitan Region, from the strengthening of business capabilities and support for the development of the reindustrialization policy, which includes the popular economy; the President of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Ovidio Claros, met with the director of the National Planning Department, Jorge Ivan Gonzalez and the Deputy Minister of Business Development of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Soraya Caro Vargas.

As a result of the meeting, a road map was drawn up for the articulation and coordination of actions between the National Government and the Bogota Chamber of Commerce with the following five key points:

1. Strengthening of the popular economy and all economic sectors (businessmen and entrepreneurs).

2. Strengthening of the business and trade system through the Reindustrialization Policy: diversification and sophistication of the domestic and exportable supply, and closing of productivity gaps.

3. The CCB is available as an ally of the government's initiative of the ZASCA Reindustrialization Centers and to implement a goal of 10 centers in the region

4. The creation and development of the Food Security Cluster.

5. he CCB as an ally for the strengthening of the popular economy in farmers and shopkeepers (training, formalization, access to credit and markets).

The Executive President also requested the inclusion of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce as a representative of the territorial order in the National Council of Popular Economy. From the Bogota Chamber of Commerce we continue working for the development and strengthening of each and every one of the entrepreneurs of Bogota and the 59 municipalities in our jurisdiction.
