Bogota, July 19, 2024. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) will launch this Friday the 'MEGA Business Mindset Accelerator' with the aim of promoting changes in the mindset of traders and entrepreneurs of the popular and solidarity economy that will allow them to accelerate the transition of their businesses towards industrialization, achieve sustainable growth and become increasingly competitive.

This will be achieved through the adoption of a more strategic thinking and the use of digital tools to boost sales growth and healthy and controlled business development.

The accelerator was conceived with the support of the Presidents Forum of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, which is made up of executives or company presidents who donate their time and work to accompany entrepreneurs and businessmen in the internalization of good business practices.

Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, stated that “the ‘MEGA Business Mindset Accelerator’ has the potential to transform the mindset of entrepreneurs by providing them with a learning and collaboration environment where they can inspire and motivate each other. Through this initiative they can access mentoring, practical workshops where they will define or redefine their strategy and the use of digital tools to develop a more strategic vision focused on sustainable growth”.

He added that this change of mindset is necessary for these businesses and their entrepreneurs to adapt to today's changing and highly challenging environment. In addition, interaction with other entrepreneurs and exposure to new ideas and successful practices will help to break down barriers and broaden their horizons.

For his part, Adolfo José Aristizabal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Presidents' Forum, noted that “in Colombia, more than 94% of companies are small or micro-enterprises, many of them run by sole proprietors. At the forum, we believe in collective construction and mutual support among entrepreneurs with experience, mentoring and knowledge. Our goal is to strengthen the entrepreneurial fabric from the ground up, so that it becomes increasingly professional.
