CCB and the IDT will support the participation of 40 micro and small companies in the tourist showcase of ANATO 2023

22 February 2023-The ANATO Tourist Showcase will take place between February 22 and 24.
-The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB), together with the District Tourism Institute (IDT), will support the participation of 40 micro and small tourism entrepreneurs from Bogotá and the Region in the ANATO 2023 Tourism Showcase.

Bogotá, February 22, 2023. In Corferias, the Tourist Showcase of the Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (ANATO) will be held, the most important scenario for tourism relations and trade in the country in which the main national agencies will participate. and international, as well as important suppliers of the productive chain of the sector. Within the framework of this version, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) and the Bogotá Tourism Institute (IDT), join efforts to strengthen strategic alliances to boost tourism.

Within the framework of this event, the two entities will support the participation of 40 micro and small tourism companies from Bogotá and the region, in a scenario where businessmen and businesswomen will be able to generate business opportunities, promote Bogotá and the region as a destination tourism and make connections nationally and internationally with specialized visitors from the sector.

Juan Carlos González, vice president of competitiveness of the CCB stated that: "with this space, we seek to encourage businessmen who are part of the tourism cluster and in general those who benefit from the actions of the CCB to improve the environment for business in order to promote the tourist offer that exists in Bogotá and the region, and strengthen and improve competitiveness and the generation of business opportunities for the business fabric of the industry”.

For his part, the director of the District Tourism Institute, Andrés Clavijo, assured that "the participation of the IDT in the ANATO showcase will allow us to strengthen relations with key international allies for the positioning of the city, connect us with important national actors in the supply chain, value and boost the economy of the capital with a sector that represented 2.6% of the city's Gross Domestic Product in the last quarter of 2022 and whose percentage participation in GDP returns to pre-pandemic levels, showing an increase of 11 .9% compared to the third quarter of 2021 and more than 14.2% compared to the same period of 2019.”

Spaces like these make the business fabric of Bogotá and the region grow; In fact, in the last two years since the Tourism Cluster Initiative, around 1,500 companies have benefited in terms of closing gaps in human talent, innovation and generation of business opportunities.

Together with the IDT, actions have been carried out to promote the destination and generate business opportunities for businessmen in Bogotá and the region, achieving an impact on more than 150 businessmen through international business roundtables.

With this version number 42, it is expected that more than 1,000 exhibitors and co-exhibitors will present the offer of tourist goods and services from more than 20 participating countries and the 32 departments of Colombia.
