La CCB

Flagship CCB events, such as +Talante, Gofest, the CCB Andean Half Marathon, ArtBo, Bogotá Fashion Week, Gastrofest, and the Christmas Window Display contest, were part of a comprehensive strategy to promote strengthening, competitiveness, internationalization, and coordination within the Bogotá-Region business community.
Bogotá, December 19, 2025. The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) reported that there are currently 496,686 active companies in the Bogotá-Region. Of these, 81,372 were created between January and November 30 of this year—an increase of 4,630 compared to the same period in 2024, representing 6% growth. Additionally, 415,314 companies renewed their mercantile registration by the end of November, 3,643 more than during the same timeframe last year.
Ovidio Claros Polanco, President of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, stated: "Entrepreneurs are the heart of this organization. Therefore, throughout 2025, we reaffirmed our commitment to the Bogotá-Region business fabric through concrete actions that have yielded tangible results across various sectors. The numbers speak for themselves; they show that this year we strengthened our regional presence, boosted the popular and solidarity economy, increased business competitiveness, and leveraged the internationalization of goods and services originating from the 58 municipalities within the CCB's jurisdiction."
Key Milestones
Regarding business strengthening, as of November 30, 150,800 people received assistance. In terms of competitiveness, 35,000 entrepreneurs and companies benefited from services provided by the CCB’s 19 clusters, focusing on human talent, innovation, new business, environmental and social sustainability, and internationalization. More than 6,800 of these entities received in-depth specialized services.
In efforts to boost the popular and solidarity economy, a major highlight was +Talante, the first fair designed specifically for this economic segment. Its second edition, held from July 17 to 20, attracted 17,000 attendees, generated 692 million pesos in sales, and included participation from 39 chambers of commerce across the country.
In November, the +Talante Festival took place at Mundo Aventura, with over 3,700 unique visitors and a commercial showcase featuring 210 local businesses that reported over $100 million in sales.
In coordination with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, through iNNpulsa Colombia and operating allies, the ZASCA centers established themselves as vital sectoral laboratories: 645 clothing production units strengthened their processes; 120 footwear units in the Restrepo neighborhood bolstered their brand identity; 287 agro-industrial units advanced in specialization and regulatory compliance; and 200 technology units were assisted to enhance their competitiveness.
After returning in 2024 following a multi-year hiatus, the 2025 Christmas Window Display Contest (Vitrinas Navideñas)—led by the CCB with support from Fenalco, the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá, and the Government of Cundinamarca—delivered highly positive results. This year, 2,533 companies applied (a 42% increase from 2024), and 1,648 companies qualified to participate, representing a 135% increase over last year.
As part of the same initiative, citizens enjoyed 18 Christmas Caravans, involving more than 1,960 participants across various Bogotá localities and neighboring municipalities such as Chía, La Calera, and Zipaquirá.
Furthermore, over 24,000 products from 2,100 entrepreneurs were integrated into Bazzarbog, the CCB’s online platform. This platform multiplied the visibility of emerging businesses and reported sales exceeding 3 billion pesos, with additional business expectations surpassing 5 billion pesos. The Virtual Campus served 46,682 entrepreneurs through a portfolio of 152 free virtual courses.
A Decisive Commitment to Innovation
This year saw the start of construction on the 2600 Science, Technology, and Innovation Campus of Bogotá. The 23-story, 44,000 m² facility will become an epicenter for knowledge, applied research, and technological entrepreneurship.
Gofest reached its eighth edition, solidifying its status as a hemispheric benchmark for the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The 2025 festival recorded 24,000 attendees, featured 300 national and international speakers, and hosted 1,000 business meetings between startups, investors, and corporations.
Recently, StartupBlink recognized Bogotá as the "Fastest Growing AI Startup Ecosystem among major South American cities in 2025." Additionally, through its incubation and acceleration programs, the CCB helped Bogotá rank among the top three Latin American cities in the Global Startup Ecosystem Index by StartupBlink. Notably, Bogotá was the only one among the top three Latin American cities (alongside São Paulo and Mexico City) to rise in the rankings, reaching 62nd place globally.
To strengthen the CCB’s regional presence and stimulate tourism, the CCB Andean Half Marathon was held on November 30 in Fusagasugá. The event featured 7,150 athletes, generated an estimated direct economic impact of over 2.5 billion pesos, created 800 direct jobs, and achieved a hotel occupancy rate of 99.8% during the race weekend.
The Gastrofest program also played a leading role in 2025. Three Gastrofest territories were activated (Kennedy, Usaquén, and Sabana Centro) with 60 participating establishments. The festival contributed to a 15% average increase in sales for 62% of participating entrepreneurs, with one in three generating at least one additional job.
The Year of Internationalization
In 2025, companies supported by the CCB strengthened their international presence. Through [PUENTE] Internacional III, 13 companies from San Victorino and the Restrepo neighborhood reached the runways of MOMAD Madrid 2025 and New York Fashion Week, showcasing their talent to global industry leaders.
Global business agendas also thrived. Throughout the year, Business Summits and International Business Rounds connected over 800 entrepreneurs from Bogotá and Cundinamarca with 170 international buyers from 20 countries, generating 3,500 business appointments and over $40 million in projected deals.
Significant international events included the 38th Annual World Boxing Organization (WBO) Convention in Bogotá, which brought delegations from over 60 countries and generated approximately $3 million in economic impact.
Art and Culture as a Platform for Development
