Bogota, November 2024. This November 25th at the Movistar Arena, Bogotá de Gala will take place, a key strategy to recognize and make visible the actors who have worked to consolidate the capital as a destination, epicenter of tourism, investment and development in Latin America and the world.

This strategy led by Turismo Bogota, in partnership with the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Invest in Bogota, and the Mayor's Office of Bogota, seeks to highlight the collective efforts of entrepreneurs, business leaders and strategic allies that have positioned Bogota as a globally competitive brand.

Bogotá de Gala celebrates the success stories that strengthen the city, highlighting the impact of those who, from sectors such as tourism, culture, gastronomy and entertainment, have made Bogota an attractive and vibrant destination. This space highlights public-private alliances and the commitment of key players in boosting the city's competitiveness and development.

The Bogota Chamber of Commerce is part of the Marca Bogota strategy, and together with its allies, has been at the forefront of the growth of the tourism sector, supporting more than 40,000 MSMEs in the region. This reflects a 5.6% increase in international tourist arrivals in the first half of 2024, positioning Bogota as a unique global destination.

Awards in six key categories

Bogotá de Gala will be attended by the Mayor of Bogota, Carlos Fernando Galán; Andrés Santamaría, director of Turismo Bogotá and Ovidio Claros, president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, among other special guests.

We will present awards in six main categories. The nominees will be announced on Wednesday, November 20:

1. Tourism Service Providers: to those who offer essential services to tourists, such as hotels, airlines, travel agencies, event promoters and tour guides.

2. Business Tourism and Meetings (MICE): to allies who have contributed to attract national and international events with a positive impact on the local economy and the international projection of Bogota.

3. Entertainment: to bars, gastrobars, restaurants, and clubs that have invigorated the city's nightlife and cultural life, creating an attractive offer for both residents and visitors.

4. Entrepreneurs: to those who have promoted the positioning of Bogota as a business and commercial exchange center, attracting foreign investment and economic growth.

5. Influencers and Content Creators: to those who make Bogota visible through their digital platforms, as a destination for innovation, culture and unique experiences.

6. Inclusive and Social Tourism: to projects with a significant impact on the growth of responsible tourism in Bogota, improving the visitor experience and promoting sustainability and inclusion.
