03 October 2025The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) expresses its rejection of the recent violent and vandalistic acts that took place in the north of Bogotá, which targeted the facilities of ANDI (National Association of Industrialists), as well as the headquarters of the National Police, and some commercial sectors.

From the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, we raise a voice that advocates for the respect for life, reiterating a call for the cessation of the various conflicts currently taking place in the world, pleading for dialogue scenarios that allow an end to the disputes that now transcend political divergences and put the survival of communities at risk.

In the same vein, we express our respect for the right to protest, but we urge those who exercise it not to engage in acts of vandalism that are detrimental to the well-being of citizens, as well as the development of our city's workers and merchants.

We express our solidarity with those merchants and institutions whose physical infrastructure has been affected, as well as the integrity of their employees.

Likewise, we join calls such as the one expressed last night by ANDI, in which they lament the existence of acts of stigmatization against their institution, which associate its work in favor of strengthening the business fabric and good commercial relations, and that seek to delegitimize its actions by linking it to ideological affiliations.

From the CCB, we reiterate our commitment to building environments that promote the permanent growth and strengthening of commerce in our city, region, and country, with our actions focused on progress and well-being, regardless of ideologies or political affiliations.
