From May 19 to 21, Bogota Fashion Week - BFW, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce's commercial and promotional platform for fashion, will bring together the fashion sector and all audiences around this commercial showcase that seeks to position the city as an international fashion business capital.
The platform's goal is to strengthen the industry focused on independent design, bringing together multiple national and international actors in order to promote the creative talent of emerging and consolidated entrepreneurs, strengthen their brands and expand their business opportunities.
During May 19, 20 and 21, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Ágora Bogotá - Centro Convenciones (3rd floor) will become the stage for the activation of sales of participating brands, and other complementary activities that seek to bring all audiences closer to fashion and its processes, such as Conversations, a series of talks on the most relevant topics of the fashion ecosystem. Access is free with prior registration at https://www.bogotafashionweek.com.co/Agenda/Agenda-2022 .
For this edition, the section offers a program of panels, interviews and presentations on lasting solutions for sustainable fashion businesses. Under the curatorship of Rocio Arias Hofman, founder of Silla Verde, a dialogue will be held on issues that cut across creation and business, as well as on topics that outline contemporary social, cultural, environmental and economic dynamics, taking into account that the fashion ecosystem is increasingly interconnected in terms of design, production, marketing and communication.
In line with the cross-cutting concept of BFW 2022 -sustainability-, these academic sessions will address issues related to environmental responsibility in design, consumption and production processes; the impact of the media visibility of artists and fashion professionals; creative collaborations involving influencers, companies and value propositions; Latin American luxury and its most attractive variables; the editorial craft of fashion where all identities fit; fashion businesses that manage to be global and those that conquer the local market; the cultural sustainability of the country through fashion and its craftsmanship; design in the axis of transformation of the world; and businesses that make knowledge their best strategy.
The Bogota Chamber of Commerce continues to carry out actions aimed at promoting the reactivation of the sector by supporting entrepreneurs in strengthening their businesses.
