La CCB

This edition will bring together 86 cultural spaces distributed in six creative circuits of Bogota, and will have free transportation so that the public can tour the city through exhibitions, workshops, lectures, publishing projects and author design. The Palacio de San Francisco (Avenida Jiménez # 7-56), a neoclassical national monument, will be the official venue and meeting point for the event. There, for three days, the public will be able to enjoy free of charge: Intervention, Conversations and Editorial Encounter.


Intervention
This component seeks to encourage collecting and bring new audiences closer to contemporary art through a group exhibition of works by 30 selected artists from the participating galleries. The curatorship will be in charge of María Isabel Rueda, an artist and curator from Cartagena with an outstanding career in the national and international cultural scene. Curatorship: The spider has the fly on its head Inspired by the theories of biologist Jakob Von Uexküll, this exhibition proposes a reflection on perceptual worlds, the de-hierarchization of knowledge and the possibility of harmony between the human, the non-human and the environment.


Conversations
A free space for academic reflection on contemporary art that this year will be curated by Raphael Fonseca, curator of Latin American art at the Denver Art Museum. It will bring together 20 national and international curators to discuss topics such as curatorship, indigenous art, performance, collecting, new media and global narratives.
The panel agenda includes prominent guests such as Jo-ey Tang (Director of KADIST San Francisco), Pedro Rocha (Curator of Music and Performance at the Serralves Foundation and Amanda Carneiro (Chief Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo). All talks will have simultaneous translation and interpretation in Colombian sign language.


Editorial Meeting
Curated by Relámpago (a project by Andrés Fresneda and Valeria Giraldo), this component will bring together 43 publishers from Colombia, Latin America and other regions that explore the book as an artistic object. Under the title Rosas entre el viento (Roses in the wind) and in a commercial format, there will be launches, workshops and open talks that reflect the crossings between literature, art and visual memory.

Book Route, a new route that connects independent bookstores with artistic publications.
Design Route, with spaces for author design, furniture and functional objects.
157 activities distributed in the circuits: Centro Histórico, Macarena, Teusaquillo, Chapinero Central, San Felipe and Chapinero Norte.
Participation of 253 artists (211 national and 42 international), with 83 exhibitions (50 individual and 33 collective).
60 pet-friendly spaces and a mediation team that will guide visitors to the participating exhibition spaces.
