Andean Region Summit: Businessmen to meet in Bogota to promote economic integration and open new markets

Bogota, April 2025. With the aim of boosting regional economic growth, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce will hold the Andean Business Summit and Business Roundtable: “Strengthening regional value chains between Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela”, a space for dialogue, cooperation and business articulation, which will bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, government representatives and multilateral organizations, with the purpose of promoting regional production chains and facilitating trade opportunities.

As part of the Business Summit, an event open to the public on April 29, attendees will be able to learn about key tools through keynote lectures and panel discussions on regional economic trends, building value chains, business innovation and opening markets. National and Andean Region Chambers of Commerce will participate in the event, as well as representatives of companies from these countries, who will share their experience in expanding and opening new markets.

On April 30, during the business roundtable, in which more than 315 entrepreneurs from Bogota and Cundinamarca and 40 buyers from Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela registered, more than 700 business appointments are expected to take place in key sectors such as food and beverages, construction, energy, health, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and technology, among others.

Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce stated that "The Andean Business Summit is an opportunity to connect our entrepreneurs with new business opportunities, boost regional innovation and build a shared vision of development. From the Bogota Chamber of Commerce we reaffirm our commitment to a productive, sustainable integration focused on the joint growth of the Andean Region", he said.

This summit has become a key platform for strengthening integration among these countries in a context of global economic transformation. In addition to generating a space for the exchange of experiences, the achievement of strategic alliances and the generation of commercial opportunities, it also seeks to promote a more competitive and sustainable development for the region.

The event is organized with the support of the Chambers of Commerce of the participating countries of the Andean Region, in alliance with multilateral organizations and actors of the business ecosystem. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce invites entrepreneurs from Bogota and to participate in this space.
