Bogota. May 2025. With more than US$9 million in business expectations, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) closed the Andean Region Business Summit and Business Roundtable: “Strengthening regional value chains between Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela”.

The event brought together 40 buyers from Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela, who met with more than 450 entrepreneurs from Bogotá and Cundinamarca. The event far exceeded the initial goal of USD 4 million in business expectations, with a growth of 125%, consolidating itself as a strategic space for strengthening intraregional trade.

The executive president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Ovidio Claros Polanco, emphasized that “This achievement allows us to advance in our joint objective as the Andean Region to increase trade between the countries, which today represents only 8.2% of our exports”.

One of the international buyers, Alberto Inocencio, representative of the Peruvian company Novedades del Mundo, dedicated to the import of clothing for cyclists, said that “Colombian products are very popular in my country and in this business roundtable we were pleasantly surprised with the participating companies, for their innovation and diversity”.

For his part, Álvaro Mosquera, from CatCoffe, a company that offered its products at the conference, said: “This type of meeting helps us micro-entrepreneurs who are grouped together to strengthen ourselves to be able to take our products on a large scale to Latin America and take our products to another level”.

Similarly, Ximena Villamizar, entrepreneur of Villamizar Brand, said "These spaces are essential to promote connections between us businessmen and entrepreneurs of Bogota and the region, to build bridges and opportunities that allow us to grow at all levels, and especially as suppliers of our great innovative potential.

With the Business Summit and the Andean Region Business Roundtable, the CCB advances in its commitment to boost the export of services and value-added goods by entrepreneurs from Bogota and Cundinamarca.
