Bogota, July 2024. Bogota, July 2024. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) and Corporación Colombia Crea Talento - CoCrea, entered into an alliance to strengthen and support arts, culture and heritage projects that are events, festivals, fairs and parties associated with popular and solidarity economy units in the Sabana Centro Region and other municipalities of Cundinamarca.
With this initiative, the CCB and CoCrea reaffirm their commitment to economic and cultural growth in Bogotá and the 59 municipalities where the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce has a presence.
This represents a significant step towards strengthening the mission of both institutions in promoting creative projects that reflect the essence of our society. The main objective is to foster creative entrepreneurship and support entrepreneurs and businessmen and women on their way to new opportunities and the growth of their projects.
Ovidio Claros Polanco, executive president of the CCB stated: “This agreement is a tool that will allow us to approach much more effectively the productive units of the popular and solidarity economy, while fostering more spaces for the creation of businesses and strengthening their productive processes. We are proud to continue weaving efforts with other entities and the reach we have in our jurisdiction.”
Likewise, opportunities are open for participants to make use of the tax incentive administered by CoCrea. Income taxpayers who donate or invest in cultural and creative projects will be able to access a 165% deduction of the value contributed from the taxable base of their income tax return. To date, 229 projects supported by CoCrea have been carried out in the country, thanks to 217 investors or donors who have made use of the incentive. A total of 327 investment and donation certificates have been issued for a value of $343,582 million pesos.
Within the framework of this alliance, two types of accompaniment will be provided:
1. Accompaniment to the postulation of the projects, which took place from July 16 to 19 to solve doubts.
2.Accompaniment in the management of resources. Once the projects submitted are evaluated, those approved will be able to use the tax incentive to attract investors and donors, thus increasing their chances of financing and materialization.
This agreement represents a significant opportunity for cultural and creative projects, and for income taxpayers who decide to contribute to these projects.
By joining forces, the productive and creative fabric will be able to generate a greater economic, social and cultural impact in our region. For more information about this alliance and how to participate, please visit our website or contact our public relations team.
