Nearly 700 activities carried out in the first half of the year as part of the Cundinamarca Comprehensive Plan

Bogota, August 14, 2023. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce continues with its commitment to achieve a more competitive region with better opportunities for business. For this reason, for the last three years it has been implementing the Integral Plan for Cundinamarca (PIC), an initiative that promotes more and better services in the territory, support for strategic projects and constructive civic dialogue with the public sector.

During the first half of 2023, important advances and results were achieved for business and regional development in the 59 municipalities of Cundinamarca where it has jurisdiction. The following are the most outstanding achievements:

The CCB was present 117 days in the first semester in the region, reaching the 59 municipalities where the entity has jurisdiction. A total of 688 activities were carried out in the region, demonstrating the commitment to entrepreneurs in Cundinamarca.

- Through programs focused on improving the productivity and competitiveness of the region's entrepreneurs, we benefited 1,078 companies in the region with services such as courses, mentoring, forums and fairs. Business strengthening programs reached 1774 companies in Cundinamarca.

- A total of 1,597,788 entrepreneurs from the region attended 279 Mobile Chamber workshops and 4 fairs in the 59 municipalities.

- In alliance with the IDT, the CCB took 43 businessmen to the Anato 2023 Tourism Showcase. 3,376 visitors in the 3 days. 180 million in sales.

- Pedaling for Cundinamarca", an initiative focused on reactivating tourism in the region and promoting the department's competitiveness, held four days in the first half of the year, covering more than 220 km, with the participation of more than 1,700 attendees and a direct impact on 240 entrepreneurs.

- Expansion of the One-Stop Business Window: Three new agreements were signed in the first half of the year in the municipalities of Silvania, Gacheta and Arbeláez, for a total of 19 agreements signed throughout the region. This facilitates procedures and the development of new companies in the area.

- Articulation Spaces: 40 articulation meetings were held with mayors and key institutions in Cundinamarca, strengthening coordination and collaboration for regional development.

- Support for vulnerable communities: As part of Corparques' Social Recreation subprogram, we benefited 2,528 vulnerable people in the region, providing them with free admission to Mundo Aventura park and restoring their right to quality family recreation.

- The CCB delivered 1416 markets to winter victims in the municipalities of: Une, Sibaté, Soacha, Fómeque, Choachí, Ubaque, Pandí, Venecia, Cabrera, Guatavita.

- Vitritur" Tourism Showcase: During the month of May, the "Vitritur" Tourism Showcase was held with great success at the Jaime Duque Park. This important event counted with the outstanding participation of 170 businessmen exhibitors, more than 1200 attendees, 20 business consultants and the presence of 70 artists and musicians of the region, as well as the 11 mayors of the central savannah. This showcase was consolidated as a strategic space, making it possible to actively promote business and the tourism production chain throughout the Cundinamarca region.

- Presence at ANATO: The entity participated in ANATO, the most important event in the country for tourism relations and trade. During this outstanding occasion, we provided our support to more than 35 entrepreneurs in the sector who seek to promote Bogota and the Cundinamarca region as a must-see tourist destination.

- Support for local initiatives: The CIP provided support to 11 local initiatives of high regional impact, which were attended by more than 84 people, with an investment of 257 million pesos. We contributed to events such as the AESABANA Business Meeting, the National Orchid Exhibition, the Sopó Gastronomic Festival, Expo SUFA, the Day of the Peasant in Sesquilé, the Villa de la Sal Gastronomic Festival in Zipaquirá, Telijarle, Exposibaté, and the Bosongote Festival in Cajicá, among others.

- We led the technical roundtables of the Territorial Integration Committee - CIT, on regional identity, land use planning and mobility, among others, with the active participation of the region's authorities.

- We signed an agreement with Fundación Origen to strengthen the capacities of 80 business and social leaders in Sabana Centro.

These achievements reflect the commitment and effectiveness of the Integral Plan of Cundinamarca in its work to strengthen entrepreneurial capacity and promote sustainable development in the region. These results consolidate an integral platform that contributes significantly to the growth and well-being of Cundinamarca and its inhabitants.
