291 companies and enterprises participate in the Feria del Hogar with the support of the CCB

02 September 2024- 211 are part of Bazzarbog and are located in the Entrepreneurship Pavilion at Corferias. Thirteen percent are from municipalities within the CCB's jurisdiction, such as Chía, Soacha, Sesquilé, Choachí, Cajicá, Suesca, Fómeque and Tocancipá.

Bogota, September 2, 2024. With the support of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB), 211 entrepreneurs from the Bazzarbog digital community are participating in the traditional Home Fair, a commercial activity that takes place at Corferias from August 29 to September 15.

These companies are part of the Entrepreneurship Pavilion, an exclusive space of the CCB launched this Sunday, where visitors will find seven collective stands dedicated to popular economy and programs focused on sustainability, associativity and Crafts of Colombia. The collective spaces house 47 companies.

The remaining 164 companies are located in individual stands and correspond to the categories of home, beauty, fashion, gastronomy, farmers' markets, sustainability, associativity, among others.

Meanwhile, 80 enterprises, part of the CCB's Productive Inclusion Network, are present on the second floor of Pavilion number three at Corferias, as part of the Home Fair.

These initiatives are led by people with disabilities and their companions, persons deprived of liberty, members of the LGBTIQ+ community, vulnerable youth, people of ethnic origin, victims of the conflict, reinserted persons, among other population groups.

In the context of the Home Fair, they seek to strengthen their business opportunities to enhance their business initiatives and transform them into a real option to improve their quality of life.

The executive president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, Ovidio Claros Polanco, said: “From the Bogota Chamber of Commerce we offer companies comprehensive support in their process of insertion into the digital world. We do this, for example, through Bazzarbog, a free virtual platform that for the purposes of the Home Fair makes its transition to face-to-face. There are more than 200 companies that will be in this edition and that, hand in hand with the CCB, will advance in their process of positioning, growth and increased sales during the more than 15 days of the event. This is in addition to the 80 enterprises that will participate in the event as part of our firm commitment to productive inclusion”.

In addition, Claros Polanco highlighted that 93% of the selected companies linked to Bazzarbog will attend the Home Fair for the first time, with the support of the CCB.

He also stressed that, of the 211 companies, 13% are from municipalities such as Chía, Soacha, Sesquilé, Choachí, Cajicá, Suesca, Fómeque and Tocancipá. He also emphasized that 96% are micro-enterprises and 4% are small enterprises.

Bazzarbog is the free digital showcase of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, which allows companies in Bogota and the region to display their products and services in a personalized and unlimited way.

The linked companies also have access to training programs by experts, are inserted in the digital channel and generate traffic with purchasing potential, which translates into greater sales possibilities.

Currently, more than 1,622 companies are part of the community, with more than 22,670 thousand products and services distributed in 15 categories and 24 subcategories.

Since 2020, the CCB, through Bazzarbog, has promoted 742 companies in the Home Fair alone, achieving more than 3.6 billion in sales and more than 26,000 contacts.

E-commerce in figures

E-commerce sales in the country reached $15.4 billion during the first quarter of this year, representing a growth of 1.73% compared to the same period in 2023.

Likewise, according to the Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CCCE), the number of online sales also increased during the first three months of this year, compared to the first quarter of 2023, reaching 93 million transactions. This represented an increase of 6.65% compared to the same period last year.

Likewise, in the first months of the year, significant changes were observed in the payment methods used for online purchases. According to the CCCE report, payment by debit/credit card increased, which positioned this payment method as the most popular, with 54.8%.
