-217 entrepreneurs who are part of the free online sales platform Bazzarbog.com of the CCB will have the opportunity to sell their products in person in one of the most important fair spaces in the country. The CCB opens this free space to entrepreneurs, expecting to generate sales of more than $1.5 billion.

Bogota, September 7, 2023. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) is preparing its Entrepreneurship and Local Talent Pavilion for the 40th edition of the Home Fair, which will take place between September 7 and 24 at Corferias. The inauguration of the Pavilion will take place on Saturday, September 9 at 9:30 am.

Visitors to the Fair will be able to enjoy an offer of innovative products and services from 217 entrepreneurs of local talent in sectors such as home, fashion, jewelry and costume jewelry, gastronomy, decoration, health and beauty, accessories, among others. This group of entrepreneurs have started the path to transform their businesses through the free online sales platform Bazzarbog.com and thanks to their participation they will have the opportunity to have a totally free stand provided by the CCB at the event.

72% of the entrepreneurs who will be present in the entrepreneurship and local talent pavilion are women and 28% are men; in addition, 12% of the ventures are developed in some of the 59 municipalities of the Region in which the CCB has jurisdiction. Furthermore, 98% of the participating companies are microenterprises.

Ricardo Nates, executive president (e) of the CCB states that "From the Bogota Chamber of Commerce we have a great commitment to strengthening and promoting entrepreneurship in Bogota and the region, which is why we seek to establish these spaces that allow greater exposure of these enterprises and small and medium enterprises to boost their businesses and achieve new opportunities".

The more than 200 participating entrepreneurs received training sessions for setting up and exhibiting at the Home Fair, training in window dressing, entrepreneurship and virtual sales; a preparatory virtual course on entrepreneurship and business strengthening; and a space for consultation on technological tools; in addition to their participation in a business roundtable.

In this edition, the entrepreneurship and local talent pavilion will have exponents such as Rosemaery Ospino of Sepulpet who is linked to the Bazzarbog Platform since June 2022, said "after the crisis that brought the pandemic we decided to venture into the line of accessories and that is how the Sepulpet Pet Accessories store was born, we were reborn from the ashes and currently belong to the circular economy. We are very happy to be part of this fair space and the sales opportunities that have been generated through Bazzarbog".

Or the story of Gustavo Maldonado of Puebliando por Colombia SAS BIC, a microenterprise linked to Bazzarbog since 2019, who noted that "thanks to Bazzarbog they have had spaces to promote rural and sustainable tourism in the beautiful villages of Colombia, also generating a positive impact on communities, fostering local economic development and the preservation of traditions."

The CCB also has five collective stands with 40 beneficiary companies that show the strengthening of enterprises through other of its programs. Thus, there is a Collective Stand of the popular economy with 10 micro-businesses that benefit from the CCB's tools to improve their business management and develop business competencies and skills, contributing to their growth and formalization.

Nine associations from the region are also present, bringing together 400 associates at the Associativity Stand. The CCB has worked for more than a decade to strengthen associations, focusing on the development of productive linkages, the training of leaders and the generation of competencies to increase their productivity, gain access to financial resources and achieve their growth and sustainability objectives.

Six businessmen and businesswomen from the Sustainability Program will also be present, as well as four businessmen and businesswomen who are part of the initiatives to socioeconomically promote the entrepreneurship of Colombian migrants and returnees.

Finally, 11 handicraft companies will be linked to the event thanks to the joint work of the CCB and Artesanías de Colombia.
