Bogotá, September 2026. In the next sixty days, seventeen brands from Bogota—fourteen of clothing clothing and three of footwear and leather goods—will parade on three of the platforms most demanding in world fashion: New York, Paris and Dubai. Most of These brands had not left the country just three years ago; today they are ready to compete in markets in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

Participation is framed in [BRIDGE] International, the initiative of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) that connects emerging, high-potential fashion entrepreneurs with main international markets. This edition marks a milestone for the program: it is the first time that the CCB has an institutional presence in Paris Fashion Week —within the Welcome to Paris program of the Federation of Alta Couture and Fashion (FHCM)—and at Dubai Fashion Week, organized by the Arab Fashion Council together with Dubai Design District.

Ovidio Claros Polanco, president of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, assured "behind these catwalks there is an economic bet. We want entrepreneurs from sectors popular, emerging designers and young creatives reach markets international and show the world innovative, sustainable and full fashion. city-region identity. We are talking about projects with enormous potential that, we are sure, will become great fashion references worldwide.”

He added that the fashion system is not a minor sector for Bogota. There are more than 34,000 companies registered in the city-region, mostly micro and small, and it is one of the sectors with the greatest capacity to generate formal employment, especially for women.

Claros assured that the work of the CCB does not end in the catwalk: “Our job at the Chamber is not to bring designers to a catwalk, is to prepare them to sell. That's why [BRIDGE] International doesn't start at the airport: it starts much earlier, with curation, with mentoring, with structuring of export costs, with lookbook, with agenda buyers. The gateway is the result, not the objective.”

The 17 brands of this edition participated in a mentoring process by Albania Rosario, founder and president of FDLA (Fashion Designers of Latin America); José Forteza, fashion and lifestyle editor with experience in Vogue Mexico and Latin America; Luis Sánchez, co-founder of Ideas Publishing Group; and Jorge Duque, Colombian designer, winner of the first Project Runway Latin America. Through these mentorships, the Chamber accompanied brands in the construction of commercial proposals adapted to each market, in the development of collections that dialogue with trends global without losing its local seal, and in strengthening its model of business.
