Some [ P U E N T E ] brands will have the opportunity to participate for the first time in two major global fashion weeks such as New York Fashion Week and the Madrid Fashion Fair (MOMAD).
[P U E N T E ] is consolidated as a real incubator of emerging fashion with an export focus, integrating not only runway visibility but also mentoring, curatorship, formalization and international projection processes.
Bogota, May 2025. The Bogota Chamber of Commerce, through its program for the promotion and marketing of the fashion sector, Bogota Fashion Week - BFW, presented the third edition of [ P U E N T E ], an initiative that seeks to promote the integration of entrepreneurs in the textile and fashion sector from key locations in Bogota and the Cundinamarca region.
After its debut last year at BFW 2024 and Bogotá Fashion Weekend, entrepreneurs from Restrepo joined the participating brands in San Victorino, who presented their fall-winter collection. This year [ P U E N T E ] celebrates two milestones because for the first time brands from these two productive sectors come together on a catwalk that reflects the city, the asphalt and the music that moves fashion. In addition to this, some of the participating brands will be part of two iconic fashion weeks such as New York Fashion Week and the Madrid Fashion Fair (MOMAD) in September 2025, presenting their spring-summer 2026 collections.
The name of the collection was Tintico veci, in which 12 clothing and footwear brands participated, pays tribute to the beating heart of Bogota, where cotton, a permanent input of the Colombian textile industry, and leather are born and transformed. Inspired by the cafetín -that urban space where people negotiate, converse and serve coffee-, this proposal moves between the urban and the popular, giving life to a melting pot of colors, textures and materials.
Ovidio Claros Polanco, executive president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, said; ''In the first edition of [ P U E N T E ] we had 6 entrepreneurs, in this one we double the number of participants, reaching 12, and in a few months we hope to take them to the New York and Madrid catwalks, to help them diversify their markets and make visible the talent we have in Bogota, Cundinamarca and Colombia. We want to build a Bogota Fashion Week that not only makes talent visible, but also generates sustainable business, promotes inclusion and positions Bogota as the capital of Latin American fashion where everyone has a place; from the consolidated brand to the entrepreneurs of the popular economy''.
Pilar Castaño, external curator of [ P U E N T E ], explains that "this collection that brings together more than 40 pieces is a reflection of the cultural and urban diversity of Bogota, with garments such as trench coats, jackets, pants, tops, sets, vests, corsets, dresses, boots, among others, that combine materials such as denim, lace, fur, animal print and leather. We will see recycled fabrics and handmade applications in silhouettes ranging from oversize to sartorial reinterpretations, with a strong emphasis on sustainable processes and the fusion between tradition and modernity. The proposal seeks to bring popular and mass fashion to more exclusive spaces, thus closing the circle between production, exhibition and commercialization".
The runway show, which featured pieces for women and men, was a showcase for fashion and music. During the fashion show, the musical group TIMO made a live performance, dressed by Cannabis, the brand in charge of opening the catwalk and which has already dressed the group on several memorable occasions.
In this third edition of [ P U E N T E ], brands such as Lisantiny, Cannabis, NK, ISMO, Kott Risk, Seven7, Divina Collection, With Love Maria, Cueros Unipiel, El Maletero and 0C59 participated, who within the process receive comprehensive support in areas such as branding advice, collection construction, runway assembly, training in fabrics and product suitability by the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota. The pieces of this collection will be available in the physical stores of the brands, as well as in the Multibrand Store, retail space in BFW until May 22.
