Bogota, DC March 2023. The Hermes Program of the Center for Arbitration and Conciliation of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, expanded its coverage through correspondent mediators, students who support, from their role, the resolution of conflicts in the school environment, which which will allow us to be in permanent communication with the processes carried out by young people in each of the 450 educational institutions.
The work carried out by the mediators will be strengthened and supported with these new correspondents, who will work to promote a healthier and safer coexistence environment for children and adolescents in Bogotá and the Region.
Nicolás Uribe Rueda, president of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, mentioned: “At the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce we believe that another form of justice is possible and we support initiatives so that young people, from their training processes, internalize the alternatives for resolving disputes. conflicts is key. This is another of the ways in which we, from the private sector, are committed to building a more peaceful society through the CCB, while helping to unblock the judicial system”.
The student leaders, who belong to the Youth Network of Mediators, will be the open channel of communication with each of the schools, spokespersons for the 6,000 members that make up the network.

The Student Coexistence Program for Competitiveness "Hermes" is an innovative pedagogical proposal for the transformation of school conflict based on Conflict Resolution Mechanisms (MRC), it is a pioneer and a national and international benchmark for conflict management in school settings.
The Youth Network of Mediators is made up of all the young people of the Hermes Program, both in Bogotá and in the Region. Its tools are designed to promote dialogue within educational institutions, students, teachers and parents; The CCB recently launched the first Comprehensive Bullying and Cyberbullying Prevention Kit that provides first aid with pedagogical and didactic material to identify, prevent, and attend to cases of bullying.
