This free event aims to strengthen the business environment and create networks of connection between producers and entrepreneurs whose products are linked to natural ingredients, thus boosting the bioeconomy in Colombia. The two-day academic agenda will include panels, conferences and workshops focused on the exchange of experiences and best practices in the natural ingredients industry. In addition, there will be a commercial showcase of entrepreneurs from different regions of the country working with these ingredients, providing a platform for the visibility and marketing of their products. The event will also bring together experiences in the use of non-timber forest products from the dry forest and opportunities in the use of native Colombian fruits. Finally, there will be a networking event designed to facilitate the creation of strategic alliances among attendees.
Ovidio Claros, executive president of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce, stated that “This event not only promotes economic and business growth through the sustainable use of our ecosystems, but also seeks to connect supply chains that promote harmonious relations and generate positive impacts both in the cities and in the different regions of the country”.
This meeting will be a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs, producers and key players in the sector to meet and collaborate in building a sustainable future for Colombia, where the bioeconomy, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity play a central role.
“The activities in preparation for COP 16 are fundamental to boost competitiveness and innovation in the country, always within the framework of sustainability. For Swisscontact and the Colombia Más Competitiva Program, supporting the bioeconomy is essential to develop green and inclusive growth policies, creating a robust business environment and effective public policies.” - Saúl Díaz, LATAM director and director in charge of Swisscontact Colombia.
