A merchant is a natural person who carries out this activity in a habitual and professional manner in a personal capacity. He/she assumes in his/her personal capacity all the rights and obligations of the commercial activity he/she carries out.
Documents required to register as an individual
Keep in mind that you can acquire, fill out and submit the documents at any of the offices of the Chamber of Commerce.
Below, we explain what documents and/or forms you need to register as an individual:
Original of identity document
Single Business and Social Registration Form (RUES): Single business cover and annexes, as appropriate (Individual)
Individuals must file the application for registration at the Chamber of Commerce located in the jurisdiction or place where they will have their domicile, i.e., the city where the commercial activity will be developed or where the commercial establishments will operate.
Remember that once the payment is made, the registration process will be generated and you will be able to receive all the benefits of registration.
If you have any questions or concerns you can consult with specialized CCB personnel at any of the offices, who will guide you through the process of commercial registration as an individual, as well as the correct filling out of each of the forms mentioned above.
