Strengthening coexistence and dialogue in classrooms
The HERMES Program is an initiative of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and its Arbitration and Conciliation Center that seeks to transform school environments by strengthening coexistence, dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution, and the building of an educational community.
❓ What is this program looking for?
Develop social-emotional and civic skills in children and adolescents.
Promote conflict resolution through dialogue and active listening.
Foster respect, empathy, and responsibility in school relationships.
Support teachers and school counselors with practical tools for managing the classroom from a restorative approach.
👨🏫 Who is it aimed at?
To counselors, parents, caregivers, teachers, school tutors, and student coexistence committees within the scope of Law 2025 of 2020 who need to:
Strengthen their school coexistence strategy.
Train their teaching staff in restorative practices.
Train students as coexistence managers.
🎯 How does the program work?
Implementation in schools through:
Training for teachers and guidance teams.
Schools for youth leaders in coexistence.
Educational activities and participatory projects in the classroom.

Based on peace education, school mediation, and restorative justice.
It incorporates tools for empathetic communication, conflict resolution, restorative circles, and a culture of care.
