How can we help you?

As part of the security strategy promoted by the Bogota Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the National Police, we provide you with some recommendations, so that you are in the game and you can prevent being a victim of extortion.
Tip 1: Act quickly. Have your phone at hand and in case of any extortion case, call immediately to the National Police GAULA line 165 or the Military GAULA line 147.
Tip 2: Do not agree to pay any fee or vaccination. In the face of intimidation it is key to implement a policy of non-payment. Experience has shown that a person who pays becomes a victim of extortion again, as criminals realize their vulnerability.
Tip 3: Follow the recommendations and measures provided by the authorities. Record all calls and take careful note of names, telephone numbers and bank accounts provided by the offender. Likewise, avoid making any consignment without telling the authorities.
Tip 4: Take good care of your personal information. Be discreet with what you post on social networks. It is possible that criminals use this information to extort you. Also, do not confirm personal information that can be used against you.
We invite you to follow the official GAULA channels on Instagram and X (@gaulapolicia), where you can learn more about this issue and thus avoid being a victim of extortion and to listen to our radio program Somos llaves, where the voice of the business community of Bogota and the Region sounds loud.
