Based on the leadership of the CCB and the support of different companies and industry leaders, this Cluster Initiative seeks to increase the productivity and competitiveness of this sector, integrating three economic activities related to its value chain:

• Generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization of electrical energy (Core of the business).

• Goods related to electricity.

• Services related to electricity.

This is one of the productive bets of the City-Region, in line with the Smart Specialization Strategy that is being built between public and private actors of the District and the Department, and with the Modern Industrial Policy efforts that the country has been developing in the scope of the National System of Competitiveness, Science, Technology and Innovation.

In addition, the above is complemented with some strategies proposed from the projection of actions and strategies aimed at strengthening the participation of this sector in the national economy.
