Bogotá Creative Region

Cultural and creative industries in the region, involved in the creation, production and distribution of goods and services whose main input are creativity and intellectual capital.




Software solutions. Development of IT solutions for the enterprise sector (operating systems, IT software, web portals), the public sector (e-management) and the citizens as a whole (digital apps).


Sustainable design. Design activities (graphic, fashion, industrial and interface design, among others) with an economic, social and environmental sustainability approach that generate a unique cultural identity in the Bogotá Region.


Content development in Spanish.  Generation and dissemination of contents (audiovisual, digital animation, video games, music, edition and advertisement, among others) directed to the Spanish-speaking world, through traditional and/or innovative support platforms.


Music as an empowering element of the orange economy.  Actions directed towards facilitating and promoting the use of music as an element that aggregates all activities related to the creative economy in the Bogotá Region.


Provision of value added services to companies and the private sector, related to knowledge, business and IT services processes. 




Functional and natural foodstuffs.  Development of foodstuffs of vegetable or animal origin, with a healthy orientation, based on products native to the country.


Pharmacogenetics. Development of pharmaceutical drugs and treatments customized to meet each individual's genetic traits.


Biocosmetics. Development of beauty or personal image products, as well as cleaning elements made from natural ingredients.


Advanced health services. Development of specialties such as oncology, tissue regeneration using stem cells, ophthalmology or dentistry, on which the Bogotá Region can excel.  It includes the development of innovative medical devices.

Provision of value added services to companies and the private sector, related to knowledge, business and IT services processes.





Finance 4.0. Services aimed at the financial sector, based on the development of innovative solutions to improve the quality of customer services rendered as well as to sophisticate the internal management processes within companies and increase the safety of their operations. 


E-health. Set of technological, organizational and training elements necessary to evolve new ways in which to render health services based on telemedicine.


Extension services for SMEs. Development of external services for SMEs that facilitate improvements in their use of technology and foster innovation in order to improve their competitiveness and bridge productivity gaps.


Specialized professional services.  Activities offered by knowledge-based service companies (engineering, architecture, consulting, legal) with a high level of innovation and technologyServicios profesionales especializados.  

Advanced knowledge hub

Promotion and development of talent, research and scientific, technological and humanistic knowledge.  



Research and innovation services.  Set of activities undertaken by the universities to exploit and transfer knowledge, jointly with agents in the scientific-technological and/or enterprise system, that materialize in the form of innovation directed to the Strategy Specialization Areas as well as other environments with a potential for development. 


Pertinent tertiary education.  Set of activities aimed at improving the academic offering in alignment with modern enterprise and technological demands, drawing in international talents (researchers, teachers and students).


Innovation in education. Development and modernization of Tertiary Education, through changes in the syllabus, in the assessment practices, through dual education methods and the application of information and communications technologies in the teaching environment. 

Sustainable City Region

Productive and technological solutions to the challenges faced by the city, related to water and waste management, mobility, sustainable construction and energy efficiency in order to improve the quality of life of its residents. 




Bogotá river ecosystem and its tributaries.  Development of technologies that will allow for the decontamination of the Bogotá River and its tributaries, turning it into the transformation axis of the Bogotá Region, optimizing the water management cycle.


Smart transportation.  It includes activities and technologies aimed at reducing and offsetting the environmental impact, and increasing the efficiency, of the passenger and freight transport services.


Circular economy.  It encompasses the productive activities and technologies related to waste recovery, recycling and reuse.


Sustainable construction.  Activities directed towards reducing the environmental impacts constructions have throughout their lifespan, through design and the use of improved technologies and sustainable materials.
