Social liability forms part of the institutional values of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá; therefore, our organization has adopted it as the constant search for social, business, community and environmental improvement, through the commitment of its collaborators, the local community and society in general, through work focused on improving the quality of life of Bogotá and its region.
For the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a management system which considers the expectations of the groups with which companies relate (owners, employees, communities, suppliers, clients, and others), as well as the economic, social and environmental impacts derived from corporate activities. It is a new corporate activity approach that includes the impacts of such activity and an expanded organizational concept is used to take customers, suppliers and the community into account.
The principles of the CCB are: prosperity, shared value, and governance.
Prosperity: a state of growing and inclusive well-being achieved through the abundant and well-balanced creation of public and private goods and services, for all of the community.
Shared value: enterprise practices which increase business competitiveness, while improving social, environmental and economic conditions in the communities they operate in.
Governance: the ability by different stakeholders to work in a collaborative fashion, in order to manage their own development.
The purpose of the CCB: “We serve collectively with the purpose of having more and better entrepreneurs and companies, thereby reaching a more prosperous and equitable society in Bogotá and the Region”.
